On December 1, 2016, the federal annual salary threshold for employees exempt from overtime pay will double, increasing to $47,476 from $23,660. Salaried employees who make less than the new threshold must be paid time-and-a-half for any hours worked beyond the 40-hour workweek. Prepare now to handle the new overtime regulation so you don't get fined!
This workshop will feature a panel of specialists that will cover the legal aspects of the new change (including background on the change and classifications that qualify an employee to be exempt), options for complying with the new rule and strategies for mitigating costs associated with it, and how to communicate to your employees to avoid hurting morale.
You will also have time to talk through specific issues for your business in a working group format with the specialists.
