Bluegrass Mass

Bluegrass music is known for its fast picking and tight harmonies. The Boulder Chorale and RapidGrass will kick it up a notch with virtuosic playing and more than 100 voices. The cheery, sacred music of Carol Barnett’s “The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass” brings the solemnity of the classical choir-based mass together with the down-home sparkle of bluegrass.

Bluegrass has mixed roots but it has long been part of the Colorado musical landscape. Combine the excitement and toe-tapping fun of the RapidGrass Quintet with the exhilaration of a new kind of choral mass, and you get a unique event that you will want to share with all your friends!
