Bolder Young Professionals Happy Hour

Join the Bolder Young Professionals for happy hour and networking. We will be at a new venue in Boulder, The Barrel. Opened October 2016, The Barrel, an outdoor craft beer garden, with fifty-five rotating taps focusing on craft beer, mead, cider, high-end distilled spirits and wines, offers guests a friendly, social atmosphere where they can catch up with old friends and meet new ones while loving some of the best Colorado has to offer.

Our Non-Profit Partner for the month will be Bonfils Blood Center. As Colorado's community blood center since 1943, Bonfils proudly provides a safe and adequate blood supply for patients statewide and beyond. As part of our partnership, we will be seeking young professionals to give blood at the Boulder blood bank. We will have with us at the event, Bonfils Mountain Division President, Anne Burtchaell, highlighting the importance of blood donation. Also, hear lifesaving stories from two Blood Recipient & Bonfils Ambassadors, Dan Richmond and Joanie Kindblade. Representatives will also be on hand to answer questions and sign people up to donate at a time that is convenient for them. Don't miss out!

About Anne Burtchaell: Anne brings more than 20 years' experience in accounting and finance functions in both manufacturing and healthcare-related service industries to her role as Mountain Division President for Blood Systems, Inc. following 10 years of service to Bonfils Blood Center as both COO and CFO.

About Dan Richmond: Dan, blood recipient, 121 units. Driving to pick up his pregnant wife to attend her sister's rehearsal dinner, Dan was hit head-on in a collision that left him in medically-induced coma. He received 121 units of blood and, although he missed his wedding anniversary, he was able to witness the birth of his son and has many more milestones to look forward to with his family. "I owe a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid."  

About Joanie Kindblade: Joanie, blood recipient, 4 units. Joanie is grateful and alive because of blood donors. After enduring a painful gatrointestinal (GI) tear, she received four units of blood. "It's no exaggeration that donated blood saved my life. I'm indebted to the donors I will never know who gave me a lifesaving gift."
