ELGAR Enigma Variations
We are thrilled to welcome GRAMMY®-winning soloist and new member of Boulder’s renowned Takács String Quartet, violist Richard O’Neill, to the Macky stage for the impressive and dramatic Viola Concerto by Sir William Walton—coincidentally, the piece that earned O’Neill his recent GRAMMY. Along with this, we have a piece by Anna Clyne called Sound and Fury inspired by a Haydn Symphony and the final soliloquy from Macbeth. We close with the ever-popular Enigma Variations by Sir Edward Elgar.
