Would you like a more robust and diverse workforce at your place of business? 

Come to the Boulder Chamber for a lunch and learn workshop on January 26th! The Boulder Chamber, the Boulder County Employment Alliance (BCEA), and the Boulder Independent Business Alliance (BIBA) are collaborating to bring you this relevant and informative event! Please bring your own lunch.

You will learn:
  • how your business can adopt inclusive hiring practices.
  • the benefits of hiring from the talent pool of individuals in recovery from mental health challenges.
  • the areas of support offered by the BCEA to employees and businesses.
  • why an inclusive approach to hiring talent is beneficial for the workforce, businesses, and the larger community.

Representatives from The Hain Celestial Group and various local organizations focused on mental health awareness will present. You will also hear a firsthand account from an employee that has experienced the benefits of diverse hiring practices and the impact they can have on one's life and future.

  • Ruth Arnold: Program Manager at Mental Health Partners of Boulder County.
  • Jeff Sidders: Business Outreach Specialist with the State of Colorado's Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
  • Elianna James: President of "I Break Websites"
  • Kelly Grebe: Vocational Specialist at Colorado Recovery, an employee-owned mental health treatment center.
  • Lauren Riley: Employment Specialist with Mental Health Partners.
  • Joanna Burton, CPRP: Community Programs Administrator at Windhorse Community Services, a contemplative-based  mental health center in Boulder, CO
  • Nora Rossman, SPHR, SHRM-SCP: Senior Human Resource Manager for the Hain Celestial Group in Boulder, Colorado.
  • Joshua Karper: Twenty-nine year old single father, currently employed by the City of Boulder, client of Colorado recovery for 6 years, and a partner with BCEA.
