Advancing Your Professional Brand in the New Year
It is our first BWLG gathering of 2023, and what better way to start the year than coming together and taking an honest look at our own individual professional brand. How we present ourselves matters, and we want to make sure you have the resources you need to shine and put your best foot forward this new year.
Part I: Resume Workshop
In this mini-resume session, learn from our partners at Workforce Boulder County, how to transform your resume into a powerful career marketing tool. We’ll touch on how to create a resume that will:
- Engage & resonate with your target audience
- Clearly & effectively communicate your skills, strengths, and experiences
- Brand yourself as invaluable to your next employer
Part II: Creating a Rock-Star LinkedIn® Profile
Are you leveraging the power of LinkedIn®? Over the last three years, an increasing number of professionals have turned to LinkedIn to do their due diligence before meeting someone (either virtually or in person). This puts you in a position to win or lose based on what they find on your profile and your activity on the network.
LinkedIn is an invaluable platform for networking, nurturing relationships and rocking your personal brand. Now is the time for you to explore what it means to create a robust, optimized, and engaging profile.
In this session, marketing professional Debra Jason presents a fun, game show program designed to help you transform your LinkedIn profile from mediocre to marvelous.
During this interactive session you’ll explore how to:
- Avoid seven of the most common (and costly) LinkedIn mistakes.
- Create a profile that is 40 times more likely to open doors to opportunities through LinkedIn.
- Receive 14-21 more profile views with one simple step.
- Initiate simple, engaging conversations and nurture prosperous relationships that lead to long-lasting success.
Important:
- Participants are encouraged to bring their resumes for the presentation.
- Professional photographer Barbara Colombo from 11-11 Productions will be in attendance taking a complimentary professional headshot to the first 25 people that sign up the registration list the day of the event.
