October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and awareness starts with acknowledgement. There is still a stigma around domestic violence – but silence doesn’t help the next generation of women to identify the many ways abuse can manifest in a relationship.
Please join the BWLG along with Chief Boulder Police, Maris Herold, and Erin Shannon, Director of Advocacy and Education at SPAN for a discussion on abusive relationships. We will cover warning signs, conversation starters, and support tools. We will tell the stories that need to be told and do our part to break the stigma and remind all women that we are not alone.
PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE: By attending this event, photographs and videos of the event and individuals will be public and possibly used on future marketing for the Boulder Chamber and its associates.
