About SPAN:
SPAN is a human rights organizations that provides free and confidential services to all survivors of Domestic Violence in Boulder County, the traditional homelands for many indigenous nations including but not limited to Cheyenne, Arapaho, Ute, among many more. Boulder Chamber has partnered with SPAN in previous years to provide volunteer support for their confidential emergency shelter. Some of the projects we may be asked to work on are: work in the garden area, organizing and cleaning the donation spaces, deep cleaning of the shelter kitchen, etc.
Other opportunities to be involved with SPAN include: hosting a small fundraiser where proceeds are donated to SPAN, becoming a trained volunteer and work directly with clients of all ages or support with indirect volunteers needs, attend trainings in the community provided by SPAN and other community partners to stay educated about the most current information on how to better understand violence on our community, and much more! Reach out to inca@safehousealliance.org for inquiries about becoming more involved with SPAN.
