Event Description:

Join the Boulder Young Professionals for our September Volunteer activity as we participate in Foothills United Way Day of Caring! Our group will be volunteering at the Milk and Honey Farm at the Jewish Community Center, a 2+ acre community educational farm. We will likely spend some time weeding the farm property, preparing the donation plot (a 1/8 acre space where vegetables are grown exclusively for donation in the 2017 season), and we may have time to build raised beds in their new greenhouse.

Please fill out this waiver and indicate your shirt size if you plan to volunteer. Choose Bolder Young Professionals for Organization name. This information will be used for Day of Caring purposes only, and is required of all participants.

Day of Caring is the largest, single-day volunteer effort throughout Boulder & Broomfield counties. It is held on the Friday of the week of September 11 to align with the National 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance.

Volunteer Projects take place between 8:00 am and noon with a Volunteer Celebration beginning at 12:30 pm. Projects vary in size and scope and in most cases include physical labor.

Day of Caring provides an opportunity for local volunteers to get out into their communities, to learn about local nonprofit and government organizations and to give something back, all while having a great time. We welcome businesses & corporate teams, as well as community groups, families and individuals. However, all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
