M5 White is a white Rhône varietals blend similar to Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc. M is for Margerum, 5 is for five grapes that make up the blend. It is rich with complex flavors and a long finish. Colors of straw and golden hues with a viscosity that clings to the glass as it is swirled. M5 White has a full, round and pleasing palate with ample acidity to balance the richness. This is a wine that will continue to evolve with time in bottle.

This has a glistening pale straw color with aromas of fresh Bartlett pear, ripe white peach, wildflowers, and crushed gravel. There are immediate fruit flavors that dance on the pallet like peach, Key lime, nectarine, and ripe pear. These fruit flavors are balanced by fresh acidity and fleshy viscosity. There is a lingering elegant finish that begs to be paired with soft cheeses and charcuterie. Drink now and at least through the next decade.
The Eguren family produces Protocolo Tinto, one of the world's best value wines, from vineyards in Manchuela, Rioja, and Toro. They lease vineyards on long term contracts from farmers in Manchuela who grow Tempranillo on the limestone rich soils at high altitudes in this southeastern corner of Spain. The oldest vineyards are 35 years old, grown sustainably, and dry farmed. These conditions reduce yields and result in incredibly balanced but fruit forward Tempranillo. The Eguren family also blends 10-15% of the wine with young estate grown vineyards in Rioja and Toro, which are planted with massal selections from the family's best estate grown plots. For the first 10-15 years of these vineyards' lives, they are used for Protocolo before they graduate into the estate wines of Rioja and Toro.
In 1976, Domenico Clerico began to not just grow grapes but produce Barolo from Monforte d’Alba. Today, he’s one of the most respected producers in the world, his wines are now a benchmark for Barolo. Never afraid to push or explore new ideas, Domenico started out with next to nothing and a desire to understand the unknown. With only 2000 cases produced, this Dolcetto is manually harvested between 2 vineyards in Monforte d’Alba and Monchiero. Though Clerico’s wines are known for their power and use of oak, this Dolcetto shows Domenico’s softer side and is aged in 100% stainless steel for 10 months prior to bottling.
