Join us at the annual membership meeting, and meet the leaders who inspire us to succeed.  Join top CEOs, executives, entrepreneurs, and rising stars in the Boulder Chamber's biggest event of the year.  This Chamber signature event includes networking opportunities, meeting top business leaders and participating in the award celebrations.  The Chamber will honor leaders who shape our community and pioneer the path for strong business and innovation.  The evening includes food and beverages with an average attendance of 300 people.  Tickets include admission to Celebration of the Arts, immediately following Celebration of Leadership.

The awardees are:
 
Virginia Patterson Business Person of the Year: Judy Amabile, Co-Owner, Polar Bottle / Product Architects. Judy helped turn a family business into a global leader in design and manufacturing of high-tech beverage containers, while helping grow Boulder's world-famous outdoor recreation industry.  Judy also sits on several boards and organizational leadership committees that build and strengthen our entire community.
 
Industry Leadership Award: Zayo Group. Led by Chairman and CEO Dan Caruso since its inception in 2007, Zayo has grown to become a worldwide leader in infrastructure bandwidth services, exemplifying Boulder's spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, working with the University of Colorado Boulder and many other local organizations, Zayo is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship across the Front Range.
 
Community Leadership Award: Regina Cowles, Nancy Geyer, Deborah Malden, Bob Morehouse, Bill Obermeier, Patrick O'Brien, Richard Polk, and Bob Yates for their enthusiastic drive in successfully guiding the 2014 City Ballot Initiative supporting community arts and culture to passage. These dedicated leaders helped build the momentum to ensure Boulder's cultural scene will thrive into the future.
 
Chamber Champions Award: Elvira Ramos, Program Director for the Community Foundation of Boulder County, and Barbara Truan, president of Renaissance Management, a leadership strategies company, for their dedication to the success of the Boulder County Leadership Fellows Program.  Leadership Fellows, a new partnership between the Boulder Chamber and the Community Foundation, provides the tools and inspiration for participants to assume leadership positions across Boulder County.  Together, Elvira and Barb are developing the diverse leadership that will shape our community?s future.
 
Franny Reich Local Business Hero Award: Ron Secrist, President of the Boulder Community Health Foundation. Ron guided BCH through major successful fundraising and redevelopment campaigns, helping it grow into a cutting-edge medical institution. He also continued serving as a trusted advisor on community policies following his tenure as Boulder City Manager.


The evening agenda:
4:30-5:30pm - Opening reception session
    This opening session will include beer and wine and light appetizer station
5:30-6:45pm - Awards, annual meeting announcements with open, theater style seating
6:45-7:00pm Boulder Arts Week Performance
7:00-8:30pm - Celebration Reception
    Reception after glow will include heavy appetizers stationed and passed with a Mediterranean station with beer and wine.
8:45-10:00pm - Special Boulder Arts Week Performances
    Opening with School of Rock and Astonishing Productions!!

Parking off Street and in area garages off Broadway.  Please use Broadway front entrance to enter event.

Dress is Business Casual.

Catering provided by A Spice of Life Catering and Events, with sprits by Annual Partner, Hazel's Beverage World.

Awards and Nomination Criteria
Business Person of the Year award is presented annually to the person who exemplifies determination and commitment to build a strong local economy.
The Industry Leadership Award recognizes an industry leader who exemplifies the innovative spirit, creative problem solving, and pioneering approaches to organizational success and unprecedented industry growth that defines Boulder's leadership.  
Community Leadership Award recognizes an individual(s) that have made significant contributions to advance their industry, environment, social sustainability within the community, while achieving business success.
Chamber Champion Award recognizes a leader who has contributed time and ideas to strengthen the Boulder Chamber and the surrounding business community. 
The Franny Reich Local Business Hero Award recognizes an outstanding individual for his or her exemplary legacy of business leadership and commitment to supporting the community.




Celebration of the Arts: Boulder Arts Week Fundraiser
After the Celebration of Leadership bring the night to life with our CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS event brought to you in collaboration with Boulder Arts Week. Special performances 8:30 pm-10:00 pm. Tickets to CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS included in the Celebration of Leadership price.

Individual admission for the Celebration of the Arts only are $10.00 per person (children under 17 are free!) and will help fund Boulder Arts Week 2016.
