June 2024's offering: "The Producers" (1967)
This is the original, with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder, not the remake. It pushed the limits for dark comedy when it was released (“Springtime for Hitler”) but has gained stature over time. A stage-play producer devises a plan to make money by producing a sure-fire flop. (Mel Brooks, 1967, USA, 1:28, PG)
