Event Description:
Boulder County welcomes back COLORADO BUSINESS READS to the community. The book drive will take place from April 1 to 30, 2016 and will place books in the homes of children up to eight-years-old, highlighting the importance of positive adult-child interaction through reading activities. Businesses throughout Colorado are participating by hosting collection boxes to encourage the donation of new and gently used books.
Boulder Rotary Roots is helping recruit businesses, schools, faith communities and others to host collection boxes from April 1 to 30. Businesses already signed on include: Eide Bailly, Xilinx, Boulder High School, Broadway Suites, Kilter Howling LLC, Taggart Insurance, Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Boulder Chamber of Commerce, Bryan Cave, Fairview High School Interact Club, MinuteKEY, Colorado Financial Management and Turley’s Kitchen. These are the first of more than 20 collections boxes the COLORADO BUSINESS READS drive hopes to have across Boulder County. It is not too late for businesses to sign on as a collection point.
The books collected in Boulder County will be distributed to children and families through schools, libraries, doctors’ offices and child care centers locally.
