The Denver Municipal Jazz Band, a professional ensemble, will perform a diverse repertoire from jazz and swing classics to Pop, Latin, and more. Bring your family!
Founded in the late 1860s by Alex Sutherland, bugler at the "Charge of The Light Brigade,” the Denver Municipal Band is the oldest professional concert band in the continental United States. Currently the band plays at different city parks during the summer and community centers and performance venues year round. The Denver Municipal Band has several components. One is a 40 piece Concert Band, another is the 17-piece Jazz Band. Presented by The Dairy.
