Join the Boulder Chamber for this timely discussion on employment issues and marijuana, geared towards managers but relevant to employees of all levels. A number of local experts will present on a variety of topics covering marijuana regulations as they relate to the job interview process, hiring procedures, and daily operations at large and small businesses. 

Speakers will include:


Brian Ferrans, MS 
Workplace Prevention Specialist, Peer Assistance Services, Inc.
Brian Ferrans, MS, is a Workplace Prevention Specialist for the statewide Substance Use, Misuse, and Abuse Prevention Program for Working Adults, a program of Peer Assistance Services.  Brian has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration.  He previously worked as a Program Director working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system, providing case management and substance abuse treatment services to them in Northern Colorado.  Brian has extensive knowledge and experience working in the substance abuse prevention and addictions field, helping individuals and organizations increase awareness and education around substance use and prevention.

Robert Hoban, Esq.

Bob Hoban is an AV® Preeminent rated attorney and seasoned full-service commercial practitioner. Bob is also Principal and Owner at Solana Business Solutions, which offers comprehensive consulting, management, regulatory, and product solutions services for the entire commercial cannabis industry. In 2016, Bob was selected as a member of the Boulder Colorado inaugural Marijuana Policy Advisory Committee and asked to serve on the Colorado Department of Agriculture's Industrial Hemp Advisory Committee. Bob is a professor at the University of Denver in the Law and Society Program, and regularly instructs regarding government regulations, public policy and research-based policy courses. Mr. Hoban has litigated nearly every aspect of Colorado's Marijuana Code and has closed over 300 marijuana-related business transactions.

Stacy Jensen is an SPHR certified HR Director with 15 years experience in navigating HR challenges and opportunities. With a BA in Journalism from the University of Iowa and a Masters in Marketing from CU Denver, she is bilingual in English and Spanish and thrives in a work environment where no two days are the same. Stacy has both public and private HR leadership experience and likes to HR like a rock star!
