Four Foundations of Mindfulness: An Embodied Approach (Hybrid)
Weekend Retreat
facilitated by Rick Merrill
Saturday & Sunday April 30th & May 1st, 10AM-4PM
at Boulder Shambhala Center
An experiential weekend retreat focused on community-building & practice
The Four Foundations of Mindfulness are traditional teachings taught in nearly all Buddhist lineages. In this participatory and interactive weekend retreat we will explore the unique and poignant teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche on The Four Foundations of Mindfulness: mindfulness of body, mindfulness of livelihood, mindfulness of effort, and mindfulness of mind.
In a workshop format we will engage in discussions, sitting meditation and embodied, contemplative movement practices to work with mindfulness as our natural capacity to notice and appreciate our interactions with the world with more subtlety, precision and delight. This workshop is open to anyone. It will be preferable to join in-person if possible because our activities will be experiential and community building. Please join us!
Please check out this short introductory video from Rick Merrill.
Hybrid & open to all! In-person participation preferred if possible
We ask that all in-person participants be vaccinated, and masked if unvaccinated.
