Event Description:

Women of the J, a program of the Boulder JCC, is proud to present as part of their Exceptional Women Series, Investing in Women and Girls for a Better Future, an impactful conversation with Karen Larson, President and CEO of Friendship Bridge, and Christina Lowery, CEO of Girl Rising, moderated by
Laura DeLuca, Professor at the University of Colorado.

Join the leaders of Friendship Bridge and Girl Rising, two international nonprofits working to unleash the power of women and girls to build a more peaceful and prosperous world. Karen Larson and Christina Lowery will share stories from the field of how women and girls are leading transformative change in their communities even in the midst of a confluence of crises that threaten to set back decades of progress in gender equity.

A lively and vital discussion of just what is at stake in the wake of the pandemic and in the midst of global conflict and environmental threats, and how investing in women and girls is absolutely critical if we are to build a better future for the next generation.
