Dressed in fresh purple red color, this is a voluptuous Pinot Noir with rich fruit notes of cherry, raspberry, plum and strawberry - a red fruit party - enhanced by subtle smoked hints. In mouth sweet fruit notes stand out, and its fine tannins give it a great texture and a mouth filling structure. Balanced and New World styled, this is a wine of personality and elegance. Sexy, pure and simple, it's a young and refreshing Pinot Noir that can also be enjoyed chilled!

“I am not a subtle girl and this wine knocks my socks off! I was met with a surprising deep, dark brooding garnet color. The aromas of earth, figs and currants lead into a medium-bodied but dense wine. Textured flavors of fruit compote, mushrooms, and hints of vanilla frame a nicely balanced, complex wine. The finish is spicy and lingering. Love it now, but I can’t wait to see how this wine evolves in the cellar”. -Ann (Owner of Pettyjohn's)

Amity Vineyards, the first bonded Eola-Amity Hills winery was founded in 1974 by winemaker Myron Redford, who moved to Oregon with a dream to make world class Pinot Noir. He became known for his attention to detail and experimentation in the winemaking process, his first vineyards were planted in 1971, with a total of 15 acres planted of Pinot Noir, Riesling and Pinot Blanc. In 2014, Ryan Harms from Union Wine Company & his brother, Eric Harms, purchased the winery.

The Eola-Amity Hills AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in Polk County and Yamhill County. It is entirely contained within the Willamette Valley AVA, and stretches from the city of Amity in the north to Salem in the south. The Eola-Amity Hills AVA has a unique terroir that sets it apart from the surrounding Willamette Valley viticultural area. Ancient lava flows and tectonic shift created the hills and the weathered basalt soils. Free-draining and rich in iron, these soils serve to stress vines, lessening vigor and yield, which helps to concentrate flavors in the grapes.

The 2020 vintage had wide weather swings, creating yields down around 50%. That was even before the Labor Day fires. In spite of everything, small amounts of this gorgeous wine is available.

The Amity Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir is sourced from three primary, low yielding sites within the AVA: Sunset View, Amity Vineyards, and Temperance Hill. All of the fruit was hand-harvested, native yeasts, and pressed directly to French oak for 8 months. Amity Vineyards does not fine this wine, preserving all flavors and the natural body.

A juicy and enticing Pinot Noir from Central Otago. Aromas of bold cherry and fresh red berries are underpinned by savory notes and spicy oak. Dark fruit flavors flow into a smooth palate, delivering a long finish with fine tannins and juicy acidity.

Beautifully aromatic with appealing depth on the palate, this multi-appellation Pinot Noir offers a smooth, fruit-forward sip. This silky wine opens with fruit notes of black cherry, blueberry and blackberry jam, which blends seamlessly with earthy and spicy hints of forest floor, lavender, freshly-ground coffee beans and clove. Well-textured acidity, fine tannins and suggestions of dark toast give the palate depth and complexity before a lingering finish highlighted by fruit notes.
