Strains due to lifting are one of the most frequent causes of injury for Pinnacol policyholders. Sixty percent of these claims involve the lower back and shoulder. Traditional approaches to controlling back injuries, such as proper lifting training and stretching programs, have not been successful in reducing injuries. Participants will learn the most effective strategies for reducing the frequency and severity of back injury claims. Topics will include:
