Event Description:

When You Believe in What You Sell: Integrating For-Profit Selling Best Practices with the Need of Nonprofit Donor Development

This workshop, provided by Bob Bolak, President and CEO of Sandler Training, acknowledges that for-profits and non-profits share similar challenges when selling their products and services.  This session will cross pollinate for-profit selling best-practices with the passion of non-profit donor development.

Many Nonprofit Development staff, Executive Directors, and for-profit business leaders and their sales teams are actually “accidental sales people” who find themselves in an important development role where they must balance the passion for their service and mission with the need to embrace their organization’s necessity for revenue. This session is for professionals who are…

-Concerned about meeting challenging revenue goals
-Wrestling with the traditional sales paradigm and looking for a softer way to be successful in their sales/development role
-Taking rejection personally because they believe in what they are selling
-Working hard to grow the size and diversity of their donor and investor base but facing challenging roadblocks
-Suffering through painfully long donor decision cycles and struggling to know when to stop following up with a lead

Business leaders and sales professionals from the for-profit sector are invited to attend as well, as this session will cross pollinate for-profit selling best-practices with the needs of non-profit donor development.
