About Jessie:

Representing the Boulder Chamber, Jessie is serving as the Workforce Development Consultant supporting the launch of Skill Works Trainings in Boulder County.  Jessie has been working in employee and career development for over a decade. She spent much of that time with the Career Center at CU Denver, including the last couple of years as the Associate Director. Jessie is currently a Career Counselor and Leadership Coach for BetterUp, an employee development organization based in San Francisco. She has a doctorate in Leadership and completed her dissertation research on employee behavior, engagement, and empowerment within generational work preference. Jessie is excited to draw on this experience to assist in the development of the Skill Works Training program in Boulder. 

About Trevor:

As an Associate of Skillful Colorado, an initiative of the Markle Foundation, the state Colorado, Microsoft, and LinkedIn, Trevor and his colleagues look to create a labor market based on skills. Having worked in education and in youth empowerment as a teaching assistant and tutor, Trevor leads the development of Skillful’s skills-based training and toolkit to help employers learn and adopt skills-based practices. Drawing from his time in community and political outreach, Trevor develops partnerships and collaborates with industry partners, nonprofits, and workforce centers. Trevor brings a passion for inclusion and equity to his work at Skillful, developing solutions to reduce bias in hiring and the workplace to ensure an economy that works for all.
