The City of Boulder's
Universal Zero Waste Ordinance (UZWO) compliance reporting requirement is back after a two-year pause. This means restaurants and grocery stores will again need to demonstrate compliance with the UZWO. The required online reporting form can be found
here and the reporting deadline for 2022 is August 31.
The Boulder Chamber is hosting an informational webinar on August 16, 10 to 11 a.m. to help businesses in Boulder understand the reporting requirements. During the event, staff from the City of Boulder and Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE) will give an overview of the UZWO, provide helpful resources and answer questions. Register online.
Restaurants and grocery stores can learn how to achieve and report compliant waste collection systems by reviewing the city’s digital guide in English or
Spanish. Additional information and resources can be found on the City of Boulder’s
Universal Zero Waste Ordinance webpage.
By reporting your compliance, your business will be eligible to participate in the Green Bag Giveaway Program where you could receive two FREE boxes of compostable bin liners each month for at least a year!
