Event Description:
Calling all girls! Join WOW! Children’s Museum for How to Be a Scientist our 3rd annual celebration of Girls in Science! During this live virtual Zoom event, girls ages 3 and up will get to meet real female scientists and explore science activities at home with a hands-on kit! Girls will have the chance to see women from a variety of STEM careers, and interact along at home with special activities. Girls will also learn that they can be a scientist both as a future career and right now in their everyday lives!

Special Guests* & Activities Include:
  • A live Q&A with an animal ambassador from Denver Zoo
  • Geologist/computer programmer/CO State Representative Brianna Titone
  • Noelle Ozimek, MS, from Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston) and Harvard Medical School
  • An interactive experiment from Pfizer
  • An electric vehicles activity from Xcel Energy
  • An interactive physics and engineering activity from STROBE
  • Guests from NCAR/UCAR
  • A chemistry activity from Victoria Hale, M.S. Ed., Chemistry Teacher at Mercy Academy

Live Spanish translation will be available. Zoom link and password will be sent to all registrants approximately one week before the event.
