Wanda & The Wave
Event Description:
“Wanda & The Wave” is a delightfully interactive and multilingual presentation featuring various forms of puppetry, as well as live music and sound effects. The story’s main character Wanda lives a damp life under a wave. Drips and drops drip down Wanda’s collar on her pillow, as the wave hovers over her home for all her days. When a wanderer appears and Wanda’s dog Bones goes missing, the promise of the wave is released. “Wanda & The Wave” is based on the book “The Old Woman & The Wave” by Shelley Jackson. The story is adapted for the stage by the Public Works Theatre Company’s Sondra Blanchard, with creative collaboration from puppeteers Nicole Frantilla and Shoshana Bass. The show is accompanied by music written, adapted and performed by Paul Weidig.
