Nominations Due April 6
BOULDER, Colorado (March 12, 2015) - The Boulder Chamber is currently accepting nominations for honorees for its Women Who Light the Community event. Now in its 20th year, this annual event is produced by the Boulder Chamber’s Business Women’s Leadership Group.
Nominations are for local women who have made significant contributions through innovations and a committed effort to address a meaningful business or community need, locally, regionally, nationally, or globally. Candidates for nomination are women who reside, work, or have a (business/community) contribution/project that falls in Boulder County, have demonstrated a leadership position, and have contributed to the business community, the arts, education, health care, sports or the environment.
Winning nominees will be honored at the 20th Annual Women Who Light the Community dinner on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette, CO from 4:00-7:00pm.
Nominations must include: identification of the business or community need (local, regional, or global) or innovation (word limit); a description of how the need or problem was addressed, including the leadership role played by the candidate (for example leadership contributions may be in terms of time, energy, or money), this could also be a description of how innovation has improved quality of life, the environment, etc. (word limit); a description of how the nominee models the behaviors and actions that reflect what we want to see more of in our community (word limit); and, must include nominee and nominator name, address, city, state, zip code, phone and email. The deadline for all nominations is Friday, March 27, 2015.
EMERGING YOUNG LEADER - DUE APRIL 6
BOULDER, Colorado (March 12, 2015) - The Boulder Chamber is currently accepting nominations for exceptional girls age 5-18 or K-12 for its Women Who Light the Community event. Now in its 20th year, this annual event is produced by the Boulder Chamber’s Business Women’s Leadership Group.
Nominations are for local girls who have made significant contributions through innovations and a committed effort to address a meaningful business or community need, locally, regionally, nationally, or globally. Candidates for nomination are girls who reside, work, or have a (business/community) contribution/project that falls in Boulder County, have demonstrated a leadership position, and have contributed to the business community, the arts, education, health care, sports or the environment.
