BOULDER - 6/20/2014 - Business leaders shared a toast with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper today during the Boulder Chamber’s “Hoppy” Hour with Governor Hickenlooper at Twisted Pine Brewery. Part of the Policy Round Table series, this exclusive Boulder Chamber event featured an opportunity for top-tier business leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and local elected leaders to interact with the Governor, who is also a brewing entrepreneur.

Said Governor Hickenlooper, “I’m happy to be here with a beer in my hand. “ Governor Hickenlooper recalled last year’s flood on a recent rock climbing trip in Boulder Canyon with his son. “Boulder is a symbol of what Colorado has been through. Even while they were helping their neighbors rebuild, businesses large and small never backed down from a challenge. Colorado is a top state for start ups, and I don’t think I need to tell you which city is number one. Boulder.”

Boulder Chamber President & CEO John Tayer said, “I love beer and I love business so this is the ideal event. Having the Governor here is a real honor, and it’s so great to see business leaders from different sectors sharing ideas with each other. That’s a key part of how innovation happens.”

Bob Baile, President of Twisted Pine Brewery, said “With the Governor’s history of leadership in growing the brewing industry in our state, it was especially gratifying to host him here in our Boulder brewery. We’re glad he approves.”

The Boulder Chamber’s Policy Roundtable Series offers the business community and all interested parties the opportunity to engage our elected officials and leaders on key issues. A candidate forum is scheduled for August 20, 2014.
