Dr. Maura Darnieder Joins Dental Aid

Nonprofit Dental Aid, Inc. is pleased to announce  Dr. Maura Darnieder has joined their staff as a dentist. Dental Aid specializes in providing affordable, high quality dental care and education to the low-income and uninsured residents of Colorado’s Boulder and Broomfield counties.  Its clinics are located in Boulder, Longmont and Louisville, CO.

Dr. Darnieder graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She volunteered in the university’s pediatric dental clinic before joining Dental Aid. During her time in Marquette, she was actively involved in the American Student Dental Association.
 
While earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she was active in the Big Ten Leadership Network Committee. She also founded the University of Wisconsin – Madison branch of Operation Smile and was active in many outreach efforts ranging from international mission trips to serving the urban poor.

Dental Aid was one of the first stand-alone, nonprofit, complete-care dental clinics in the U.S. The organization as founded in 1974 as a referral organization and opened its first full-service clinic in 1980. Today, Dental Aid provides dental care to more than 8,000 children and adults annually. It provides services through three clinics (Boulder, Longmont and Louisville, CO) and a satellite clinic at the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless.
